The original (1582/1609/1610) Douay-Rheims Holy Bible was printed in three volumes — the New Testament in the year 1582, and the Old Testament in the years 1609 (First Tome) and 1610 (Second Tome). It was reprinted (again in three volumes) in 1635.

The Original Douay-Rheims Holy Bible Must Be Reprinted

Whereas (a) the original Douay-Rheims Holy Bible — see on this website: Part A: The Original and Uncorrupted Douay Rheims Bible (1582, 1609, 1610 A.D.) — was not widely distributed due to religious persecution in the seventeenth century, and (b) the Challoner Revision (1749-1752) — upon which the modern (i.e., 1899 edition) is based — is actually a corrupted revision of the original Douay-Rheims Holy Bible — see on this website: Part B: The Corrupted Challoner Revision of the Douay-Rheims Holy Bible (1749–1752) — it follows that an error-free printing of the original Douay-Rheims Holy Bible with its prodigious notes and annotations — in Early Modern English (EModE), exactly as the original, and printed to the highest standards in the industry — is a present-day imperative for English-speaking countries in and of itself but even more so, given the extent to which the English language is used worldwide in our times.

We appeal to you our readership to give prayerful consideration to this matter and canvass any local, regional, national, or multinational Catholic institutions, organizations, or publishers within your purview having the potential inclination and means to carry out a professional reprinting of the original (and uncorrupted) Douay-Rheims Holy Bible as expounded above.
